So I have 300 gallon and right now it’s got my
8” stingray
7” Arowana
I plan on adding 1 fire eel and 8 clown loaches

Anyone see any issues with this stock or perhaps something that would compliment better. I figure the loaches would be nice to clean up after the ray or any of the aro pellets that he misses and eventually sink.

Also tank is sumped and is turning over about 2500 gallon/hr with a 30” return spray bar

Stock sounds fine. Make sure sizes are appropriate but otherwise good.

yea that’s what I’m dealing with now as far as loach size. Contacted a couple online places and my LFS said they might be able to get 4-5” ones

The only thing to add is make sure ur tank has proper filtration since you have fish that’s grow fast and produce a lot of waste.

kno4te kno4te so my sump is setup with the two overflows draining into two 7” filter socks. Then I have a prefilter for biomedia which I switch between plain, carbon, etc as needed. Then I have 2 8” cubes and 6 qts of MarinePure spheres for biomedia. Which according to them Is super overkill. Then it has a filter for the return pump just Incase. Then return line is all 1” hard plumbing and is rated at ~2500 GPH for the 4 ft of headspace

Filtration and stock both look fine to me. Full grown silver might be tight in a 300 depending on the dimensions. But certainly much better than most tanks they end up in. I think you will be good.

Agreed. Is it a silver tho... Some rays get huge too, what species? The compatability and filtration sound good.

Montoro can get 3ft disc size, silvers can get 3ft+ and huge too. I'm sure your aware and have a bigger tank in the planning tho?
