Thoughts on Possible Purchase

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ive been looking at this sale add for 2-3 weeks now myself lol... idk whats up with the odd hood. id not use that and offer $800... looks 2 be in decent shape. maybe worth $1k tops.

to shallow for me, looks like and old lobster tank. make a good ray tank perhaps. but i do not keep rays, or maybe a pleco tank, just to shallow at 20" for me.

my recent tank I acquired is 22" high. It works for larger cichlids such as dovi , jags , veja's and such. THey almost never use the depth and have shown great growth . The 3 feet width is awesome so they can turn around and keep away from eachother. I would definitely pick this tank up it would work well.

no offence meant, and point taken, just speaking for myself. :)

Perfect arowana tank! You know you want to! Wouldn't keep them in any smaller but 8x3 is excellent footprint for them to swim and turn around in, and can keep them for life in the tank. As they are surface dwellers, the 20" height is fine. Don't waste a big tank on small fish! That's my motto.

I'd say that 20" is the minimum height i'd do, if you plan on going for big cichlids etc; great dimensions on that tank; don't think that pic does justice though, would look better otherwise
