My new guy is stressed to hell. Have been keeping lights on a 4 hour on, 2 hours off, 4 hours on, 14 off cycle. It's a bare tank, no decorations, would only like to consider adding a few as a LAST CASE resort. Any suggestions? 4 days, don't want to stunt his colours at this critical stage. Should I keep lights off 24/7? On more? Eating feeders, takes his time. Thoughts guys?

My thought on this is it's..............April fools day....................nice try.

I think a bare tank doesn't help the fish at all…. Give it some wood, sand &/or greenery to exist in & it will have a good chance to settle in & d-stress. I have altifrons in a bare 20 gallon & they have no personality. Put them in a tank with some sand & rocks & they are in an element they belong. Keeping fish is a lot more than clean water. Just my opinion. Good luck with him if this isn't an April fools joke!
