I'm buying an 8' 240 gallon tank for my rtgg, black shark, and ghost knife. They're currently all growing out in a 140 gallon that also houses a large school of red line torpedo barbs, filament barbs, and silver flying fox. All these fish get 6" and are fast swimmers. Do you think a pellet and worm raised rtgg that has been with those type of fish since being the size of a betta would just eat them all once he's an adult?

Not in my experience, but it will want to establish its dominance in the upper level of your tank, the barbs are quick enough to avoid the rtgg, black sharks and knives tend to occupy the lower levels of the tank, so you should be ok, but keep an eye on it.
