Wondering if stingers can be related to overall health of an animal by just lookin at stingers size length progression color ETC...Or does it matter Not ????Also the length of time in between them dropping ????I know in humans finger nails and hair ETC shows overall health or not seems to me it would be the same in these animals???

I would agree, I got a ray that was in really bad shape her stinger was dull and not proportional. The two she has shed since were progressively larger and perfect.

I think it does to a certain extent but the stinger will also get larger as the ray does so you have to kind of keep that in mind.

Her is my males first and second shed but he has always been real healthy since I got him CB from Trev :)

for sure John But keep in mind some do not feed as well as others so this could be another indicator they won't grow if you feed minimum ...

For sure, He is about to shed his next stinger and it looks like a Beast I will be sure to take pictures :)

I do feed heavy too, for the 2 rays,Ocel bass,3 silver dollars, and hampala barb I feed

2 shrimp and 6-7 smelt cut up
4-5 nightcrawlers
8-12 massivore pellets
half a handfull of hikari food sticks
half a handfull of sinking cichlid gold

Everybody eats everything with the exception of the hampala barb which only eats the sinking pellets.
