Someone near me is making and selling these. What do you guys think should I move on one? If I did it would have to be stored in a garage right now during a michigan winter. Would that damage the acrylic?IMG_0834.pngIMG_0835.png

Looks amazing...I want one! But if I move on this, it'll strictly be a DIY project. I know squat about acrylic or how it will withstand freezing temps, so if I try this it's going to be on a stock tank that I have in my basement. There was another thread on here once upon a time discussing this type of set-up, but I believe that those viewing windows were cut out on all four sides, with the original lip of the stock tank remaining intact across the top. That's the route I would go.

I will be watching this thread with interest. Needs more input from "acrylic guys". :)

wednesday13 wednesday13 and Backfromthedead Backfromthedead are a couple that leap to mind. Guys?

As long as its dry it should b fine stored in a garage IMO… i have an acrylic tank stored in my ohio garage atm… there is expansion/contraction of both acrylic and that poly tub but the builder used a rubber gasket so id say its safe there. If the seal was silicone id b worried of it tearing loose. Very smart way to build with the rubber gasket. Buddy of mine moved an acrylic tank this time of year with terrible results. The tank had a shotty piece of 1/8” acrylic poorly glued in as a background. The water was behind the sheet, froze and cracked it everywhere along the seams. Not a typical scenario.
