From the pictures all I can say is that they are in the genus Myloplus/~Myleus. They certainly are not Metynnis, as they seem to have small adipose fins (but I can barely make them out), as opposed to long adipose fins. Seeing them on side view will make possible to offer objective guesses and better ids.
I don’t know what they call ‘yellow fins’ as more than one spp in the genus can have that. By ‘torquatis’, M. Torquatus is probably meant.
Regarding the curvature of the spine, it is very difficult to say - I consider more likely that is the result of physical damage early in life, than a genetic defect. However, who knows…
Regardless, these fish can grow quite large, in the 8-10” range or larger, depending on conditions.
They probably will turn out to be gorgeous, including Cuasimodo. I would love to eventually see better pictures!
If you don’t mind the question, what kind of price did you get on those?
Lucky you!!!
