Thoughts on using Arm Coarse aragonite calcium reactor media to buffer CA cichlid tank?

I found a half a gallon container and was thinoing it may be worth using in a 300 gallon system.20200508_143826.jpg20200508_143820.jpg

If you have soft, low pH mineral poor tap water, and want to keep CAs it would probably be beneficial.
But you might water to experiment with a little at a time, and do a series of tests (such pH, hardness, alkalinity) to see how it works with your tank and tap water.
And you might want to check to see the water parameters your fish have evolved to live in in nature.
Here are a couple examples of collection point data.

By the way
The first example contains water collection parameters fir Herichthys cyanoguttatus (the Texas cichlid)
and the second example is for a collection point where...
Petani spendida
Vieja bifasciata
Chuco intermedius
Trichromis salvini
Rheoheros coerleus
and Thorichthya helleri were found

Yeah my tapwater pH is 6.8 has 0 tds, so I already buffer my gh and have 100lbs of limestone in my sump. I just figured this could be beneficial, especially with it having magnesium. I'll do some experiments with some of my c. cutteri fry, as well as some parachromis fry from work, in two 10 gallons and see how it impacts it. Was hoping maybe someone had done that leg work already haha.

I've got spreadsheets of all the parameters my cichlids would encounter in the wild, after mining cichlidae.com for information a few years back.
