Can Ti not be present in parents but then appear in offspring?

Amazing change. How old is it in the second video? Eg how long does it take to change like that?
 
Just guessing she was about 1 year in first vid and about 1.75 years old in 2nd vid

Now she is about 14-15" inches across!!
