Can i put three SAL's in my fifty five for them just to grow, i know they in the end will need a bigger aquarium, but as they are only around two to four inches in length right now. would this be a aceptable thing to do.
So for some good news i have aquired two more SAL's and they are living with the first one peacefully in a five gallon grow out.
As they are only four inches in length right now i belive this will work.
More good news is that i have seen them picking at some of the shrimp that i put in with them, and also for a continus food supply i put in three female guppys with one male.
^I agree^ 5g isnt much to grow out in. If you can try to upgrade to a 55g cuz that should hold them for awhile. Also SALs are not the best a catching live fish so I wouldnt rely on the guppy fry sustaining them, plus you'll need to suppliment their diet with veggies as well.
Guys guys guys... the SAL he got are only 4" that is smaller than an earthworm. A 5g is fine. Placing them in a 55g and they will have a hard time looking for food. A 55g should be upgrade once the fish gets up to 10"+. I place mine in a 10g tank when they were at 3-4 inches.
To the OP. Place some floating plants as they like to chill within the roots or leaves.
