Hey everyone. I was just wondering if anyone on here knew some info about stickleback behavior. I have a question that I can't find an answer to anywhere else. Thanks

Sticklebacks can be a little sensitive to water and are very feisty. When they're breeding they will not tolerate any other tankmates and when they're not they still will pick fights every now and then.

Two words: fin nippers

Sorry. Didn't think you guys would answer so fast. Have any of you guys kept sticklebacks that bred? My teacher has some and I saw a behavior that I can't find videos of anywhere else. I was wondering if I described it or posted a video if anyone would be able to let me know if they've seen it before

never bred them, have had 2 in a 40B with my darters and neither of them are fin nippers in my experience, at all. my mosquitofish was a bigger bully than them. Sorry I don't have breeding info, but I can tell you they tend to stay motionless in the water column or on the bottom most of the time, so if you are seeing some type of behavior different than that between several of them, you either have a territorial dispute or breeding posture lol.
