This happened in my town yesterday, I am very good friends with one of them, one I have known for years, and the other I did not know.

Yesterday at 5pm my good friend Casey Trotter was leaving the Carmel skatepark with his girlfriend Lilly who I have known for years, and her friend Sara. Upon leaving there is a windy road that takes you out to Westfield blvd, this is where their Jeep left the road and Lilly over corrected and the car flipped 3 times. All three people were ejected from the car and Lilly passed away at the scene. None of them were wearing seatbelts. This should be a lesson to everyone to wear your seatbelt because it doesn't take a high speed crash for a vehicle to roll over and for you or someone you are close to, to be fatally injured.

This incident hit me real hard, because I have known the Martyn (Lilly) family since I was in kindergarten, and I skated with Casey earlier yesterday and it never even crossed my mind that that could have very well been the last time that I saw my friend. At this moment Casey and Sara are at Methodist Hospital in stable condition should be okay. Sara is a bit more banged up than casey, but should be alright.

my condolences to the family of the victim, hope the others recover quickly

That sucks to hear.

Thanks for the thoughts, but all should go to the families of the kids involved.

i am sorry to hear this very sad news..my condolences to the friends and especially the family... i cannot imagine this loss for them... it is the unthinkable..

Bad news. ): I hate hearing about fatal accidents that were preventable.

My prayers to the family and friends.

wear your seatbelt...

My car doesnt move untill everyone has a seatbelt on.

my deepest condolences to the family of Lilly, i hope the two survivors both make full recoveries

I saw Casey yesterday, he got released from the hospital with a broken pelvis and some bumps and bruises. He was at the memorial site for Lilly, and he was taking it pretty hard. Sara is making bounds though, she knows her name and birthdate so that is a start.
