Well...after all the fighting and lack of breeding that my Salvinis gone through, everyone told me to get some Dither fish, but I really don't want to get anymore fish. So...it's been HOT, which means the water has been in the mid to high 70's. I'd figured I the Koi and Minnows can act as dithers. Of course, I'll be bringing them in by fall, but do you guys see any problems that may come about?

I did the same thing with two smaller 4" midas's just last week! Didn't want to sell them but didn't want to dedicate an entire tank to them so I threw them in my Brothers koi pond. Haven't seen them since but I'm sure they're fine. Also tempted to throw in my 8" Midas male......

won't work out we'll for the minows but should be fine for the salvini if the water is clean

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WEATHER OVER HERE!!! It was hot for a week, then one nice day, and for the past 2 days, it's been windy and kind of cold! Hope those Salvinis are okay. I found one mangled minnow, but the Koi look fine.

Oh, I hear you. A few weeks ago my pond temp was 72F. W/ the goofy weather we've been having the temp was 56F last week and 62F yesterday. My pond is only 360g and is not ideal for anything other than goldfish.
