tig in gravel substrate

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i also wanted to ask this question but all my tanks/pond have gravel and pebble and all my cats are doing well.

Gravels ok but they cope better with sand i think but its not essential as they dont go through the substrate like some cats.

if you dont have some silly massive size gravel they will be fine

the gravel i use is not much diffrent to sand and its 100 x easyer to keep clean

Bare bottom tanks are just an easier faster way to keep your tank clean... If you have gravel just make sure you vac it at least once a week... I personally highly prefer a nicely thought out "natural" type environment... Others like completely blank tanks painted out black on the bottom back and sides.. with maybe one large piece of drift wood or maybe some large black and white marble... It's more of like a certain style almost then anything else.....

I liked sand better for any of my fish. I think its easier b/c the stuff tends to stay on the top of it, while gravel it gets all in between them. And its softer on thier bellies.
