Ive always wanted a tig for my 240g the dilemma i have a shoal of clown loach from 4'' to 7''. I recently stumbled on a pic thread with the mix working well any feedback is appreciated.

The general rule really with any predatory fish is, if it can fit in its mouth it will eat it.

Having said that it kind of depends on the fish, each has its own personality, I have kept Oscars for maybe 15 years now and all have been really placid, recently got a 4" wild Oscar and it bullied my 16-18" long tinfoils :screwy:

Thing was so aggressive, had to take it back.

Also if the predatory fish is smaller when introduced so the other fish arent food then, when they grow bigger they will often still not consider them food, at least that my findings from experiance.

But again its kind of fish dependant so hard to answer.

Sorry havnt really been able to give a definitive answer, hopefully someone else with more knowlege than me can be more helpfull.

How big were the tigrinus and clown loaches when you saw the video? Your chances are random. Clown loaches are ridiculously slow growers. Those with length no more than 6" are not going to last long and it is very risky if the catfish manages to swallow them and get the loach stuck down the throat with their bifid spines killing it in the process.
