i had three tiger barbs and just the other day, one of them died and its tail was gone and half of its body was white. i took it out of the tank, did a 50% water change, added stress zyme and stress coat.

Now, another tiger barb has chunks missing off of its tail and its fins look like there are chunks missing. The other barb looks fine. Can you guys help me with what i should do? is the other barb just nipping chunks off of the other's tail? The one that has an effed up tail has been staying closer to the top of the tank and if its not up there, its in a cave hiding. i have no idea wtf is goin on...

i have two barbs and 5 danios.....i know, i need more fish!!

let me know whats up yall.

What size is this tank? Keeping tiger barbs in cramped quarters and in fewer numbers seem to trigger considerable aggression that can threaten their other tankmates. I do have four tiger barbs which I haven't increased in number yet but they're in my 75g along with 8 arulius barbs. They're the only middle dwellers and do not suffer any fin damage at all. My tiger barbs are full grown already at 2.5 inches.
