do tiger barbs eat or destroy plants that i put in the tank? i recently put a plant in it abd some days later the plant was hurt a little. do tiger barbs nibble plants only when they're hungry or isit a habit?

no, there are 6 tiger barbs mixed, 4 green tiger barbs, 2 normal. there are 3 guppies, 1 albino sucker fish and 1 pleco. i think i'm gonna buy 2 gouramis and plants, so i need advices whether tiger barbs destroy plants or not
