Tiger Barbs in the african bitope tank 55 gallon, I have had them in for weeks, most of the fish are biotope community attempt, based. could not get petricola cats though, other synodontis in there. So if any errors or they kill let you know. Thinking about 6 barbs , not to sure as i say 6 month tank all yound cichlids still. being raised together /pray. most of them bought in twos. so singles killed others in the night or so very passive accept own kind. bought 4 brichardis to end with one.http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=552843&stc=1&d=1289660310

Why would you do that?
Not suitable. Wrong water params needed, wrong diet, wrong personality, wrong size..

wrong wrong wrong.

No other spot for them ATM, will never flush another fish so I'm in transition with tanks for them. But it has gone on for weeks longer than hoped, the tangs do not bother them at all cause they stay at the top, the barbs can hide but they choose not to. I don't change the params in my tanks too much either. To be honest, not a fan of fluctuations either way. But they have great color and eat so I'm not to worried thank god they are dwarf peaceful sided cichlids. The quarrels are minimal at best in the tang tank, but they do have sick teeth if they decide to use them. the barbs are a semi aggressive fin nipper them selves so they can expect a rude, "Excuse me thats my pellet."

Are those fronts or trets?

Looks like one of each.

That's what I was thinking. The tret *may* work without his own kind in there. They're horribly aggressive fish in groups, but I hear they're not nearly as bad when alone.

The front on the other hand....um, yeah. It will be interesting to watch him "interact" with his smaller fish friends as he puts on more size.

That front will get 14"
