I got my Tiger Barbs to depsit their eggs into a breeding cup, and I let them sit there to see if they would hatch out.. I have read that they shoul dhave hatched within 24 hours.. Not one of them did... Did I do something wrong?

First time breeders? If so don't be suprised if none hatch. The first couple batches of eggs are often sterile for a lot of fish. Just to be sure we are talking about the same fish here is a pick. It is not one I have bred but this info comes from a commercial breeders hand book.
For optimal egg production use high protien conditioning foods like black worms and keep the tank ph neutral with a hardness of 100-250 ppm, temperature at 78 degrees F.
Use marbles or spawning brushes to keep the adults from eating the eggs, they often do. A partial water change using 6.5ph and 100ppm hardness water often triggers spawning in ripe females. The adults do not care for eggs or fry.
eggs normally take between 36-72 hours to hatch at 78 degrees F. they do best in a gentle current.

Guppy mate you are just a fountain of knowlege !!!

I just do good research. There are a couple goob sites on this you can find by doing an "ask Jeeves" search for "breeding tiger barbs"

Ahh, my water is probably to warm.. I keep my ph at about 7.2, and I use a power head..

What are spawning brushes? Are they like short grasses?

and if I put some of that in, will I have to worry about my Dojo eating the eggs?
