I just picked up a thin bar tiger dat and my problem is he is always in the same corner hiding, he is usualy dark in color but i have seen him swim around with normal colors as well. the only bigger fish than him is a spotted gar. What can i do to make him feel more comfortable should i just give him more time to settle in. i got him monday its now Wednesday

No adding salt is not required as AT are the tiger swhich are found in brackish

Might take him several weeks or months before it swims out in full display, and even then it will only be to get food, then back to hiding in corner. Wait till its 8 inch or bigger then it will probably be out displaying alot more. (I'm guessing it's small less than 4-5 inch)

Iv'e had two of these now for 3months have never see them feed. There both about 5inch and stay totally hidden in the bogwood but they seem to be fine with good colour good etc.After four weeks I thought I had only one left but then the other suddenly showed up. Have started dropping finely chopped food at night or they could soon be taken by the TS Catfish.Wish I had bought larger as understand now they grow slowly.
