Tiger fish?

I was watching Discovery a while back and saw a special on Amazonian fish; a large fish called a tiger fish was one of the featured fish. I don't remember much about it except that it was larger than most other predatory species and striped, hence the tiger name. No other name was given and the only tiger fish I have found here is the ATF. Any clues?

The documentary was filmed on the Amazon and it's related tributaries; it was not an ATF.

golden dorado maybe? i have no clue, but i do vaguely remember what you are talking about

It was GATF, I watch it twice a week. It's my fav fish in the hobby.
