here are pictures of the male RTM that i'm growing out. i got him the first weekend of this month at a skinny 3-3.5" at the most. he quickly put on size and bulk, and is now close to 4.5". he was growing out in a 100 gallon by himself with 3-4 feedings a day. this guy eats like a beast; 10-15 pellets a meal
i moved him into my planted 50 gallon this afternoon since i got some special stuff coming in tomorrow his tankmates are currently a female salvini and a butterfly loach.

no i'm jk man... i got this from a member of the COAST fish club. i traded two male gymnos for him
i felt i needed another monster in my life... so i decided i will keep him and grow him out till we are both old and wise

Is it just me or is there something a bit funky with his caudal fin? It looks pinched.

nope... it's not your eyes
supposedly this guy got some kind of injury of sorts when it was younger, so yes, the caudal looks kind of pinched. when i first got him i was like......... what............
but i think there's a chance of him healing - the bottom part of the outer rays looks like it will probably grow back. i don't know about the top part...

short of surgery, i don't think i really can do anything now
but he's grown on me and he's got such a good personality that i don't really care too much
