Hey All-

I'm not a knife keeper, but I thought you guys would get a kick out of this guy, the Tiger Knife Fish. http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/pfk/pages/show_article.php?article_id=332

One quick question though. I run a tank in a school library. The tank is a 90 gal, and rather sparsely populated. I'm looking for a fish I can buy for this tank that would be big enough to survive with a small fresh water baracuda, be of South American origin, and be cool enough to catch the students attention. I'm thinking that a Black Ghost Knife would do the trick. Would one of these guys meet the parameters? If I get one of these guys, I'll start doing some research on the species before i purchase one. Thanks alot,

i have a black ghost knife. it is a very unique fish but it hides until i dim the lights or turn them off. might be a nice addition to your tank. it doesn't bother any of my other fish. i have had luck feeding mine blackworms small pieces of shrimp, tilapia, and beefheart. . from what i've read and heard they can get to 18" inches in length, i have had mine for 8 months its about 6" slow grower.

Sounds good- I know a friend of mine who owns a petstore has them in stock, I'll talk to him next time I go up for supplies. Sounds like a go on this one.. I'll do some reaserch and get to know the species, but otherwise, I think I'm gonna give a BGK a shot. Thanks,
