got a question. 1 of my tanks need to go. So i have a 11 ich (25cm) tiger knife in there.
Can i put him into my 120G what is stocked with 5 heros severum rotkeil of just 2 inch and 5 geophagus redheads 3 inch and most importand my 2 inch mbu puffer ?

thx jeff

I wouldn't at all personnaly. I've kept large geos (abalios) with a BGK just fine but never a tiger. To my knowledge the tigers are more aggressive are they not? That would not be as much of a concern if there were not an MBU in the mix. The fact that its small might make it fine for a while but when you move the MBU to a larger tank, leave the geos in the 120g. Puffers and geo caudal/dorsal filaments don't mix well. IMO

If its only for a couple weeks try it and keep a close eye on them. Use a divider if any of the fish start causing problems. The knife is much less active than geos along with tempting fin which might get snacked on by your MBU. I've never kept an MBU and their temperment can vary so your going to know your indevidual fish better than we do.

I have a 6" African Brown Knife in with a similar sized Golden Sererum and slightly smaller Red Hooded Severum with no challenges between species. I would think you would be OK with the Geos as well, but I have not owned them to be sure.

I hate puffers! IMO trash fish. These all seem to be species tank canidates. Puffers all seem to be slow as molasses in January, but constantly try to nip it tankmates 24/7 like the energizer bunny. If the tankmate can't KILL the puffer, then it getts ripped up eventually. It they can kill the puffer, then (IN FISH LANGUAGE) puff on dish ******!

Death to all puffers!
