Is there a way to curb the aggression on these guys?

Hmmm..To whom are they being aggressive to? Adding plenty of hiding places in my experience usually helps tone down their aggression towards each other. It surprised me though they ignored the modestas but the modestas are double trouble for them so they avoided the modestas a lot.

well he started off just being aggressiv eto the other bottom dwellers, sun cat, bumble bee cat, but now hes even chasing off small cichlids. there are 4 different hidings spots and he goes all over claiming them all on his own. Would it help to add another of his kind? mind you im not sure if this is a zebra loach or tiger loach.

Malfunkshun is correct. Sigh...You got the nastiest tiger loach species there. *shakes head* Helodes are absolutely nasty devils. I remember mine biting my hands painfully that I tried to avoid them when I changed water, etc. I'd be very careful with that fish. Can't you give him another tank instead and add more tiger loaches from there? Your other fish will not fare any better as that fish continues to grow. The last time my petstore had them in stocked, they injured several common plecos there.

greeeaaat. so much for my great find. they were in a bare botto tank by them selves with some other weird looking loach that i wish i had gotten instead. i guess hes either going back or i dont know....:(
