i have 2 tiger oscars who are pretty much inseparable. they are lovely and are still young only about 2 inches long. i got them from the same store same tank, people say they are a pair for sure, im wondering any ways to help in telling. and no there are no babies yet no fry...

2 inches seems awfully small for them to actually pair up. They are probably just good friends. Keep them healthy and in a clean, spacey tank and maybe if they are male and female they will spawn when they are ready.

Still way too young to even guess. You won't know for sure until they spawn and have fry. And even two females will lay eggs and will deceive you.........

Hes going to get stuck in the friend zone :D 2" is small most likely sticking together makes them feel safer.

Agreed, 2 inches is too small to know. A lot of territorial fish school when they are young.

thanks everybody!

Two inches is still very early.........mY oscars grew from 1 inch to 8 inches within 10-12 months...........

I have two Oscars that were the best of friends since they were baby's, swimming side by side all the time. 2 nights ago I turned the light on and the they going at it pretty good, I finally had to pull one out and medicate him he was banged up pretty bad.

Cichlids are like that, they are friends when they are young and one day when they are matured all bets are off.
