Swimming in a mountain river
Well first off, my 4-5in oscar is obsessed with her turtle tankmates, she hangs out all day long with them. She's ALWAYS hovering around one of the 3. She'll dash over to be with them, and swims around them, even when she gets kicked or stepped on. She just takes it in stride. Anyways, I was watching everyone today, and she was swimming around Turtle like usual, and she started vibrating her tail for a few seconds, and has done it multiple times since. From what I can tell, she only does this when around the turtles or the water circulator. Is she being territorial to me, other turtles, or what? Only changes: The temp recently changed back to 75-77(it suddenly jumped up to 82 today). And the only other recent change was 2 weeks ago, one of my turtles drown(her 2nd fav to chill w/). Are they complicated enough to care about the death of a "friend"? I've had her for a few months now. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Sounds to me with the temp spike she is sending out breeding signals to whom ever will see her....i could be wrong but thats the only time i ever seen my Oscars do that back in the day but i had more then one and would have eggs soon after on a slate rock.......Put a slate rock in it and see if she starts to clean it and prep for eggs
