Tiger Oscar vs Puppet

Messing around with the new camera again...

Every few weeks when my O gets a little down (sits on the bottom looking all depressed) - I'll bring out his nemesis... Seems to perk him right up again!

I'd like to hear opinions whether this 'teasing' is good for him or not. IMO this type of interaction does him good - but I can see where some may think that it's mean. I fight with my cats a lot too, and they sure love it.

Opinions more than welcome...

I think it's good to give them some sort of daily stimulation to keep them from not getting bored. But seriously, octupi will throw rocks at their aquarium glass if they are bored, so oscars aren't that smart but they do get bored. Feed them a really varied diet ( massivore, cichlid staple, cichlid gold, cichlid excel, blood worms, crickets, slugs, night crawlers etc to prevent and sicknesses and so on )

Thats just the personality Oscar's have, i used to tease my GSP with food and then he learned to spit at food. Sometimes good comes out of teasing your pets.

Thanks for the comments. Glad to see no negative ones - apparently teasing fish is good for them.

Yes I'm glad he doesn't throw rocks at me... and I feed him very well and much variety, but this Oscar is one moody fish! Most likely a female..
