Why does a tiger ray look like this? I came across one and was wondering. Its about 7-8 inch in disk size. Is a ray that looks like this worth getting or should I just wait and let the colors stabalize first. Its not often I come across Tiger rays. What you guys think? thanks

normal for all young tiger ray to be so pale in colour,as they get older and bigger,the dark background and yellow/gold stripes will intensify

Oh ic. I thought that the ray was just stressed. Thats why it was so pale in coloring.

If you like it and have enought experiance with rays to care for a tiger ray then go for it

stress and they definitely brighten up from a healthy diet and age

IMO usually that is from stress.
I imported many young tigers at that size or smaller and they were all already nicely colored and patterned

we had this talk years ago on this... i agree..

usually their stressed but after a few days of acclimation and feeding their patterns and colors brighten up.
