Are tiger rays more "laid back" than other rays?? Ive observed that my tiger is a bit more retiring as compared to motoros, leos and other more common rays. All that changes though during feeding time. Its not as "pouncy" as leos but they sure can eat . :) Anybody have similar experience or heard something similar?

I have read that they are usually less 'Outgoing' as most of the other rays, but it could also be individual Rays that exhibit that behavior..

I bet DW will give some good insight ;)

Mine seems to be that way too. Its kind of weird though, he seems to go through phases. First he will be super active 24/7, then he slows down, burried a little more, swimming around most of the time.

Hes not with anyone, or at least on his side of the divider, so I dont know why he does that. But yes, tigers dont seem to eat or move around nearly at the level my old motoros did, or even my hystrix at that matter

I think its save to say that certain groups of breed will have different characteristic.

So, nothing to worry about. ;)

Eg 1: Leos / Motoros / Pearls

Eg 2: Tiger / Flower / Apple

Cant look at rays without being stung?? LOL...

Yeah i like how Tyson grouped the rays by activity level. They like to just relax at the bottom while my two rays are always climbing walls.

My most active ray by far was this 6 inch humerosa i had 2 years ago. Still regretting as i traded it for a Monster Frontosa with another member.

It was always doing backstrokes, playing spider man on the walls and when it was time to trade her, she was trying to jump out of the bucket. :) I think i got turned off by the fact that she doesnt eat shrimps.

my histirix is very calm but put some redwormes and just go wilde :D .
today just put some gambusia and shje just start to hunt :lol3: a bit clunbsy but still able to get some
