I have like a 8 inch tiger he's pretty pale I know this is normal when young but curious when they get the solid yellow usually? Thanks

Its not really 'normal' if it looks washed out, and it should darken up when it is less stressed and comfortable in its home, if you have it on a dark background with less light can also help.

Thanks for the reply I wouldn't say washed out but not to a tigers full potential ...... And I have noticed when he does eat he darkens slightly..... Tigers are cool a pain to feed lol ...they have a more flat shape to them not like other rays

Wish i had the $$$$ to raise and attempt to breed tigers ,Flowers and Jags some of the most Beautiful and Large Rays in my book Had know Idea that these guys have the potential to get so large would need a 2 to 3000 gal pond witch i would build if i could afford it for sure.....:naughty::naughty:sorry to derail just love these guys wish you would post a pic of the pup:D

I was under the impression that early bloomers got dark around 10" and late ones 14-15"

I know ShawnL has experience with them. He's had the same pair for quite some time now.

Looks like you have a very nice lil bugger there.... Them crazy tails......
