hi just got myself a tiger shovel red tail cross .i've kept red tails before. are they the same to bring up or is there any other things i need to know.

:headbang2:nilly:
i've got a peruno in other tank he seems to be growing very quick what size can they REALLY get to dont want another flooding:ROFL:

Well, it's probably a L. longibarbis that you have, which can get up to 30", but I think 25-26" is about average adult size in captivity. My L. longibarbis shot up to 17" in no time, but the growth has slowed substantially since then.

As far as the RTCxTSN...expect even quicker growth rates, and not really curbing until they get close to the 24" mark or so.

Is that the Peruno (don know the sp.) because it's deffinetly not a RTCxTSN. But sure looks like a RTC in shape!

The fish in the picture is a marble catfish Leiarius longibarbis.
