I'm thinking about buying a 220g tank to house a jag and 2 other large fish that are yet to be determined. I have always wanted a tsn but never had the space to keep one, my concern is that for a jag and a yet to be determined glass banger co-exist I would need to set up multiple territories which would take floor space away from the cat. Any thoughts?

if you give the cat a hidey hole i think hell be good. also tsn get much larger than jags, so if you buy a large tsn, i think youll be good.

From what i've heard on here, TSN's need ponds because they get so darn huge.

After starting this thread I did some googling and found out that they get twice as bid as I thought, for some reason I thought they only got 18 - 24" not 3-4'

lima shovelnose stay under 18" and tigs only get to about 24 i believe. (estimations)

Yes you will need a lot bigger tank than a 220g for a fully grown tsn,as above try a lima or tig.
