Tiger Shovelnose Catfish info

I just picked up a 43" Tiger Shovelnose because of the cheep price. His tank will be upgraded in 2 months. He is in a 55 with a Marble gar and just a few other community fish.

I have 2 clown loaches that are nipping at his fins a lot and the gar seems to be nipping at him...He seems fine he just has some nipped fins.

Will he be ok for a while with just getting a few nips here and there or should I move the clown loaches?

Also what should I feed him?

maybe he meant 4 3 inch tsn's

ha ha ya a 43" TSN would overflow that tank when it went to the bathroom ha ha, a few nipped fins srent a serious issue but that gar can be it can easily gulf it down, is it possibly to grow out your TSN in a 33 even for a couple months then add him back into the 55gall for another month or 2 then youll have to upgrade again lol....good luck, just keep on reading and learning
