I had 3 tsn cats for a few months now. They are about 8 inches long. Tank is a 180 gallon with 0 ammonia. Ph is about 7.2. Nitrates around 10. All 3 of these fish were eating tilapia until recently. I have one that started eating the massivore pellets that my peacock bass passed on. The other 2 stopped eating since the biggest one started taking the pellets. Now one has died and I'm not sure why. It looks healthy except for the fact that it's dead, if that makes sense. Any ideas. Don't want the other one that's not eating to die.

Also worth noting that I added a smaller Tigrinus cat to the tank about a month ago and it seems to have stressed most of my catfish out a lot.

Well I think the combination of the stress and not eating may have certainly played a role. If you have noticed for the past month that they seem stressed and not eating I think you may have some decisions to make.

They were all initially eating like normal until about 2 weeks ago. I'm going to move the tig to another tank for now and see if the other one starts eating. I don't know what else it could be.

So the tig was moved and within 24 hours my remaining tsn were no longer huddled in a cave together and the one that wasn't eating is eating again. The bad part of the situation is that the tig is not looking good in the other tank. There was a significant ph difference between the 2 tanks and I think it nearly killed this fish. I discovered that one of my test kits was not reading even close to correct. Apparently there is an expiration date with the api liquid ph test. The older kit had no date but the new one does. Solve one problem, discover and create another.

update: a couple big water changes spread out over a few hours last night and the tig looks a lot better now. I think im going to keep him in this tank til he looks 100% and eating again and then hes gonna need a new home. Ive got no long term plans for him if he cant stay with my tsn. shovelnose are eating again and I dont want to risk losing another one. The 2 ive got left are the ones I got from Jeff Rapps a couple months ago. The one that died was the one we got at the lfs. Now gotta get the other cat healed up from my other post and everything will be good again. Thanks for the input everyone.
