Can't seem to find out if this is a good idea or not so any info would be great.my new tank that they will all be going in is 650g 7/6x4x3

Iv never kept either but I would think their would be a big chance the tsn would get stung. hopefully someone who knows better will post.

It could work for you as long as the sizes are appropriate and no one is looked at as food. Several people on here keep tigs with rays and have success. I personally leave the bottom for rays even though I love big cats.

Should be fine. The only concern I would have is a full grown shovelnose in with small pups. Large catfish can eat pups.

I've kept them they are fine be prepared to feed them alot!!! Mine got 26" in my 600 in about 18 months. And he could eat 1/2 lb of shrimp if you let him! Got sick of hand feeding my rays so I found him a new home!

They are one of my favorite fish. I will build a huge pond at my next house just for a couple of cats

My tiger shovelnose (3.5-4 inches) is in a ten gallon right now but will go in a bigger tank soon, It wont eat I've tried to feed it bloodworms, Hikari sinking carnivore pellet and i put a tetra in there to see if he would eat it any suggestions.
