could anyone give me some info on tiger shovelnose and would they mix with polypetrus.

Polypetrus would make a nice dinner for a large one They shouldn't be trusted with smaller fish, as they will eat anything that will fit into their huge mouthes.

all you need to know O they get very BIG!

My one is 18" now had him from 4-5" that’s in 18 months but feed them more change the water more and you could easily achieve that in 12 months.

i feed mine thats about 8-10 inches long thawed frozen smelt, shrimp, occasionally nightcrawlers when they get past the AUL and red hooks.

i'm trying to spoil my TSN so he grows large and healthy and big enough so the CK doesnt give him any grief anymoer.

I love this fish to death, never bothered to keep one before now but they are something impressive to watch. Mine doesnt hide often so i can see it regularly.

Basically any meaty thing they can fit in there mouth.

Had one for less than two months now. He's grown from 3 1/2" to around 8-9" first pic was taken the first month of december, and the second one today!

yes they grow quickly and they can get large amounts of food in that big mouth this is my one from small to large but he has a long way to go .
