tigers bred in captivity in the US?

It is Shawn and I would highly doubt that he would advertise something as "mature" if it wasn't.
Believe the guy with the rays in house or believe the myths surrounding how big a ray must before it's considered mature. Your choice.
Look at Jags.... Everyone thought they had to be like 2' before maturity..... I bet Fishdog will be proving that one wrong. No one believed me when I said I had a mature 8 in Marble.
There was a vendor that shall remain nameless that had a 16-17in female Tiger drop pups during shipping......
All I know is I've seen some of his Tiggers in person and they are nothing short of amazing.

when to my knowledge they have not been bred in the U.S.

I think that the term "breeding" is used loosely here. IF it said PROVEN breeders it would be different, but at this point I think they are just being called "breeders" to signify they may be old enough.
I think we are knitpicking over a term that is generally used loosely. No where does it say they are proven breeders producing pups in captivity. I'm sure if they were that the description would CLEARLY state this.
Let's give the guy a break. This place has already put him through enough BS. Anyone that has ever dealt with him KNOWS he's a straight shooter that will bend over backwards for anyone. Truley one of the most significant people I've ever met in this hobby. A truley remarkable person that needs NO bad publicity whatsoever.

I would have agreed with you about Shawn being a good guy... Maybe 2 months ago. But nowadays, he has burned a few people that i know of.
Hell, i stood up for the guy and recommended many people to him.
I have had VERY good experience with him on 2 rays, see my avatar. But i have heard some pretty unfortunate stories lately.
Hard to claim the female, which is the smaller ray, is mature unless she's either a) prego or b) already carried pups. If she was mature, and the male was too, she'd be knocked up.
