Probley bean asked before" but im thinking of buying few vitts and 2 goliath tigers" but told they wont be feeding on pellets before sale" just on bloodworm and prawns!
Is it better to get them on pellets as soon as possible? or is prawn/fish better for them!
Also is it hard to get onto pellets!

Meat is what they eat in jungle so definitely that's good. But that's in jungle. Pellets are good because they are balanced with nutrition and what not. In a tank it would be good to feed them both that is if you are able to get tigers to accept pellets.

I would imagine, like a lot of characins, a balance between pellet and frozen would be good.

maybe hide the pellet in the fish or prawn till they got taste for the pellet" or put other silver fish like dollars/barbs in with them who eat pellets!

People do both of these simultaneously and then stop feeding frozen and only pellets for a little and the Tigers end up taking them

just use teacher fishes. I've had 3 ATFs, all 3 have been on pellets. 2 learn to take pellets due to teach fish (clown loaches). 1 learn to take pellets after I stuff them in shrimp then tied a fishing string to the shrimp and literally danced the shrimp around in the tank fishing for the FATF.

+1 for teacher fish. I like tinfoil barbs.

Once I've gotten my ATF onto pellets, they normally don't want anything else.
