I want to fit a 40 gal. breeder (36x18) under my 50 gal. breeder (same footprint). like a jackass, i bought the tank on impulse and brought it home only to find that i cant fit it in. i've tried all ways possible and i still refuse to believe that i cant have a 40 gal. tank for my exodons. im stubborn. has anybody been able to fit two tanks together like that in a standard rot iron stand? here are pictures of my royal screwup that i am not acknowledging as a screwup until you all say so.

So I get the tank, and all is puppies and sunshine in Chase's world. the sun is shining brighter, the birds are chirpin, and the red sox and patriots have won their respective championships all over again in my head. im loving life.

Next, I try to maneuver the little bugger into the bottom of my other tank with the same footprint. hmmm, how should I go about this?

this will be nothin, i got this, it'll be so easy. I'll be done in time to watch a couple episodes of sopranos tonight, and cook me and my girl a nice dinner. this is cake.

After a half hour of struggling with this tank, I start to get a little bit agitated.

there is no hope, the tank wont fit, and the hammer to my left is a tempting option, but I know i'll only regret it. im about to give up.

naah, Fu$k it, im gonna flip out

can anybody help a brotha out?

not sure I'll be able to explain this well enough but here goes...I have several setups on rod iron stand with one tank on top and one on bottom. a couple of the stands are built so that getting the bottom tank in can be very difficult. I have to put one end of the tank in so that the front corner is sticking out the left side of the stand, and the back corner is sticking out the back of the stand. then the other end should slide in and you can straighten the tank out. kinda like you're parallel parking the bottom tank in.

LOL!!! i like how the expressions on your face fit what you are saying :D

it's a photographic documentary, and i think it's a very moving piece of artwork combined with photography. think sundance would take this? or do they just take movies? anyways... i even tried fitting this thing under my 125, which is also 18" wide and split into two 36" sections, and it would fit. i dont have clearance in the back as you can see from the pic, but the 125 does. i tried it and i had no luck
