Tigrinis swimming erratic, upside down

12 inches, had him for 8 months. Diet is tilapia and pellets. For the past three days swimming static, upside down, sideways, not eating. Did water change, temp at 80 degrees. What to do? Thank you!

Sorry, I can't help with the issue directly. However, I'll move this to Diseases and Health Issues in hopes that you'll get the attention of someone who can.

From my experience however, that does NOT sound good. :(

What's the tank mate? You could private message me. It could be ammonia issue, or tank mate issue
 
Can you post water perameters? Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, Ph and hardness if available. Diet not withstanding at the moment, the first thing we need to do is right the ship. If you have a container large enough fill it with tank water add 1/4 teaspoon of epsome salt per 5 gallons of water and one teaspoon of Meth Blue per five gallons of water. Bath the fish in this for ~20 mins. twice a day for two days about 4 to 6 hours apart if possibile, or at least once a day for 30 mins. See if there is any improvement. If it is swim bladder or constapation related this will help. Discard the bath water after finished. If this helps then the diet will need to be addressed. Do not try to feed at all untill the fish is acting better and no Talapia. See if this helps.
