tigrinus: advice needed

I just got a new 6" tig last Sunday. The seller told me that it eats live fish. I am training it to take frozen prawns. I tried feeding it Monday night but I don't think it ate. Same thing tonight. BTW, I am from Asia. Any tips on how to train it to take frozen prawns? How long should I be "patient"? If this helps, the Tig is in quarantine with 4 severums. Thanks.

i would try to hunger it for max 5 days and then see what happens. you always keep fish that dont take shrimp but a tig should be no problem. if it doesnt eat it now you can always try in a couple of months.

The ones I've had in the past seemed to take to frozen krill from feeders, but it has to sort of flow into their face and they'd snap at it.

I feed mine with a long pair of tongs, I just hold it by the tail near his mouth and he grabs them up.

you pretty much have to spot feed them IME, so try to dangle something in front of its face
