I have been know to over stock and over filter. But lately I am getting away from that. I am in the current process of restocking my 180 gallon tank. Sold or gave away pretty much everything of my stock. Right now current plans are a school of discus and a silver arowana along with an ornate bichir. Tonight as my 90 is being taken down I moved a school of 10 clown loaches to the tank sizes range from 4" to 12". Later this week early next week I will be getting my hands on a hopefully true tig. From an undisclosed location:D. James no talking about it . My question is I know eventually the tig will become a problem as it will get bigger and cause problems with the loaches and discus as it is a predator. Has anyone had any success stocking a tig with discus and clown loaches??? The tig size will be in a holding tank as it should be around 3 to 5 inches. Until I know it is good and ready and wont be snack food for the 11' ornate bichir.

Any input would be great:D

Dude i wont say anything , but i was just messin with you , the only problem i could see is the nitrate that a big tig ,ornate and aro could create but theres products that can take care of that and of course a rigorous waterchanging schedule  . but we`ll see what the experts say

I also would be concerned for the loaches safety if that Tigrinus has any size, and eventually it will be able to swallow those loaches.

My loaches are the only thing keeping me from getting a tig , i had a lfs in china town tell me that most cats wont eat loach something about sum oil the loach put off, that is not true. I had a lema cat eat a loach recently if they will fit in the cats mouth they are doomed .Also the tig being that small i would be concerned about large loach stressing the tig they can be prone to sudden death as i am sure you know.

Thanks for all the input will put that into consideration. But as of right now, my ornate is actually schooling with the loaches???????????

The ornate is using the trojan cl method pretending to be a cl waiting to strike. I have kept loach and bicar together it mostly works mostly ,i had a delheze eat a queen loach and my ornate took a huge chunk out of a big cl it never recovered just my input.
