Hi guys

My small-5inch-tigrinus was bitten on the tail flesh by my arowana and a small amount of blood is coming out. He seems fine. My question is what type of anti-bacterial can i use?

I know normal fish meds can kill tigs. The safest i found was melafix but it does deplete the oxygen, which is harmful to tigs. Is there any other meds i can use like salt? If salt how much per litre/gallon-the normal table spoon to 5gallons?

Also since its just happened and it does not look to severe shall i leave it alone?

Any advice will be great and thanks for reading.

No med now, Just seperate them and keep your water clean and the tig stress level low

Do you have a pic?

If it's not too bad then clean water would be the best remedy for now.

But if your arowana has an appetite for you tig, I wouldn't keep them together until the tig gets bigger...

there was a thread about that a while back... think member taskan not sure of spelling as its too late for me to find that thread as gotta jet to work
