tigrinus catfish growth rate

if i bought a little 3"-5" specimen how long would it take to get around 20" long?

Also I'm not actually going to buy one. But its something I've wondered about and would consider for later possibilities.

Good water and good food expect 1" per month

Yea they grow fast. I'd say safe bet a foot after full year. If you feed raw shrimp with vitamins could grow faster. Big water changes every week or four days will help. That's big fish 101.

Mine slowed in growth at around 15 inches Ate the same amount but slowed to about .5 inches a month. 5 inches to 15 I would bet was less then a year on mine

1" a month is pretty good but how long would that stretch from 12" to 20" take if provided good conditions.
