Tigrinus Catfish!

This is more than a few months down the line but I like planning ahead

How aggressive are tigrinus catfish? Say in comparison to a RTC? Would growing them up from a midsize with larger cichlids curve its aggression? I had an RTC at about 22" and he ate nearly half my full grown cichlids (jack dems, and such) and my beloved 17" knifefish.... I know now that they arn't meant to be grouped with those fish but at the time he was just too cool to exclude.

Appreciate input, I'm figuring out what I'm going to stock my 420gal with 8ftx3ft.

One thing it has going for it is the mouth isn't as big as an RTC. I would say you'd be fine for the most part - as long as the fish you're housing it with are bigger.

How are they with rays? If it cant fit in their mouth they wont bother kinda attitude or will they pursue something they obviously wont be able to eat(my RTC was aggressive towards everything)?

I know its recommended not to keep other bottom dwellers with rays but more than likely it will just be 1 motoro and a tigrinus.

I have no experience with a Tigrinus, but from what I've read on here, lots of people mix them with rays and say they work ok with rays.

Right now I have a 12" RTC and 15" TSN with my two 12" motoros. But both of my cats are harmless at the moment.
