Tigrinus catfish

I was wondering can I get away with a Tig in a 180 for at least 2-3 yrs? Also are they fast or slow eaters?

Mine got from 6" to 14" in over a year and after their growth slows down. Tank size would have to be bigger than 180G as the action begins when the lights go out. . . If the tank is too small, u might end up with a bent snout

Mine was a fast growing aggressive eater. A real bulldog of a fish. Territorial as well.

Looks like I'll have to hold off on the tig then

IME, tigs and jurs compete quite poorly in diversely populated tanks. Slow eaters.
