I got my Tig as a young 6" F0 from Rich. Lots of people warned me of Sudden Death Sydriome which was described as death by over feeding. I started a feeding schedule of only twice a week. Now 2 years later, he's 17"+ but I've never stopped the twice a week feeding schedule. About every 3 or 4 days, I give him a piece of fish filet or large prawn. I slice into the meat and stuff it with 8 or so Massivore pellets. It seemed to do well as a young Tig but now that he's older, is his diet adequate? I can post some pics if you want to see if he looks too skinny for his length and age.

I'd say stick with what you're doing if he has made it this long. There are many here who only feed adult fish once or twice a week.

ok so it sounds like it's perfectly normal.....that's good I finally did something right. :D

nice looking Tig. I feed my 18" guy once every other day with massivor, NLS and fresh shrimp

He looks great, very cool.

I'd say stick with that, if he ever starts to look on the thin side then maybe up the quantity or add one more feeding per week. Looking at the small avatar photo he looks like a healthy fish to me though.

yep me too,he looks great,i feed mine when ive got time but its never continuous,3 on 2 off,1 on 1 off, etc,he goes mad for massivore, prawn, catfish pellets, algae wafers oh and i think his favourite is mussel.

Thanks for the tips and advice. I wish mine would eat Massivore pellets by themself.

I have to trick him by stuffing them into fish filets and shrimp lol. Still hoping eventually he'll come around.

Good luck buddy, mine seems to eat all the food i normally keep so guess im lucky.
