Since I got no help in the arowana forum I'm gonna try posting here. I have a new Tigrinus and a Silver Arowana living together, with only a discus as a tank mate right now. I have only had them together for one day but I have a few questions about feedings. First off, they were both raised on feeders, I don't mind feeding live but I don't want it to be their staple diet, however, whenever I try floating sticks, krill, or cichlid gold with my aro, he won't touch them. He rarely goes to the top which I find very strange for an aro. However, he will chase a feeder to the bottom of the tank to eat it. How can I get my aro to accept floating foods/feel more comfortable at the top? Also, I know that it is very difficult to get a Tig off feeders, so I don't mind starting him on them for the first few weeks, however, my aro will eat every feeder before the tig even has a chance! Any of you aro/tig owners had (have) this problem? How did you fix it, any suggestions?

Try feeding at night with the lights out.
