Tigrinus growth thread

Just picked this guy up today. Was super skinny so I thought to throw in a feeder (maybe not the best idea), but to my surprise gobbled it up immediately. Anyone have tips on getting it to grow faster and out of the sudden death size I keep reading about with these guys?

I am not aware of SDS with these guys. Elaborate if you care, perhaps with citations, references.

IMHO you blew a perfect chance to get it onto dead feed like frozen fish pieces but it should not be hard... IME anyway.
